Hubpages and Money

The question that is most often asked by people who join hubpages is does hubpages really work? can you really make money?, to some it sounds too good to be true, a free website where you actually make money. but in reality it is possible to make a good income from the site, I myself am making around $200.00 every month and I rarely promote my work.

There are other writers on hubpages who go that extra mile and are making 10 times what I earn because they promote every page that they write.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY COME FROM?

There are at the moment 6 different ways in which you can make money from your hubpages and possibly more ways will be added in the future.

1) Advertising with Google adsense ( For most hubbers including myself this is the main source of income)

2) Advertising with Amazon (The results for Amazon fluctuate from month to month)

3) Advertising with ebay (At the moment it is unknown how the earnings will pan out because Ebay are changing from commision junction to hosting their own ads) but personally Ebay was my second best earner when it was with commision junction.

4) URL Trackers, Url trackers that lead people to hubpages to sign up can prove to be good little earners, for everyone who signs up to hubpages through your account, you can earn 10% of the google ads on their hubs, the good thing about that too is that it doesn’t come from the person who signed up, but from the hubpages share of the ads.

5) Flagship Hubs

There are a list of topics to choose from and some rules to follow for a hub to be considered  Flagship hub, but you can earn $25.00 for every flagship hub you write and depending on other factors you can earn monthly bonuses of $10.00.

6) Capstone hubs

 get to choose your topic
* need to publish at least 15 Hubs on the same topic
* then get paid $25 when you publish a “Capstone Hub” that links to and wraps up the entire series of Hubs
* (an optional $15 traffic bonus, similar to that for Flagship Hubs)

Hubpages also hold competitions and you can win some great prizes.

The last competition in February saw prizes amounting to the value of $5000.00 being awarded to Stacie Naczelnik and a few other hubbers won $100 cash payments through paypal.
