When you join Hubpages or for that matter any other website with the intent of making a few bucks the first thing to remember is that success is not always guaranteed, and that not every piece of material that you publish on those sites will make you money.
Personally I have over 600 pages Published on Hubpages and I only recieve an income from around 40% of those pages which in total makes me around $200.00 every month, I suppose if I started marketing those pages more my earnings would be a lot higher, but time does not allow me to do so.
Hubpages provide a free service where you can publish on any topic of your choice add some advertising from Google Ebay and Amazon and if you are lucky people will click on your Google ads and you will earn a few cents and people may just buy something from your Ebay and Amazon ads too where you can earn a small commission from the sale. Hubpages earns 40% of clicks and sales and you as the publisher earn the other 60%, no money that you earn comes directly from hubpages as alot of new authors seem to think. You can also make 10% of earnings from the hubpages share of ads if you refer a new user to the site using a hubpages url tracker.
There are a couple of exceptions to this rule, if you write a Flagship hub or a Capstone hub, Hubpages will then send you a payment through paypal.
“I am Having a difficult time making money from a hub”
As I stated above not every page you write will make you money but you can increase the chance of earning with marketing, submitting your work to search engines such as Google, Yahoo and MSN adding links to social bookmarking sites such as reddit, del.ici.ous, digg and so on will help to increase the number of visitors to your page, other ways of getting traffic to your pages include adding links in your blog, joining groups or forums and adding links to them, any website that you are an active participant you can add links to your hubs in your profile.
It is not as easy to make money on the internet as many people seem to think, it takes time, patience and perseverance, but most of all it takes Hard work.
